Help with eyeshadow application :)?

I need help with putting on eyshadow. Im 19 and wear it everyday, but it never seems to look like I want it to. How do people like..I guess...get it darker in the creases, without it looking like costume makeup? How do they get it to look like it was done by a professional? Instructions please :)Help with eyeshadow application :)?
My favorite way to apply my shadow is start with a neutral color something that is a pinkish tan and cover the entire lid just to add a light but full coverage, then I apply a silver or white from the center to the outer part right underneath the eyebrow to have a raised eyebrow effect. Then I take a medium color and apply it to the lids and brush a dark shade (a few swipes) in the crease right above the medium color. In the end if its to dark take blush brush and sweep it over your lids until well blended.

if your eyes are hazel / brown good colors to use are greens

Golden hues look great paired with blue eyes. Another tip if your eyes are spaced far apart a dot of white shimmer on the inner corners will draw them together, and if your eyes are set close then a dot of white shimmer at the outer corners with draw them apart!Help with eyeshadow application :)?
Go to your local department store - most makeup contours offer free makeup application with purchase, so just ask for advice, on both the products and the how-to for the look you want.
Go and watch Panacea81's videos at youtube!

go to any local make-up supply store or where ever they sell make-up by you and buy a powder foundation and some eyeshadow brushes for a more professional look and use some eyeliner and mascara too.

Use different colors for the different parts of your lid and brow. You can get...cases I guess is the word, with usually three colors that go together. I know for sure that Covergirl and Maybelline have these. There will be instructions on the back of how to do it.

Typically, you should have a medium color on the lid, dark in the crease, and light on the brow-bone going up to your eyebrows. Put a little bit of light shadow in the corner of your eye right next to your nose. It's amazing how much it opens and brightens your eye.

I find that using make-up brushes to apply shadow provides better results than using the sponges that come in eyeshadow containers. You can get better control of how much you put on, especially if you're using a powder shadow.
go to the mac store...talk to the makeup artists
