Help with eyeshadow application?

hey guys...

ermm basically i was looking on youtube and i was watching some of the eyeshadow tutorials. i was looking at anything to fancy just simple. all the products are REALLY expensive that they use but i invested in some really good eye shadow stuff and i have loads of brushes.

i tried it out and i just cant seem to do it....it just all goes horrid.

its not to do with the stuff im using coz its very good.

i have a steady hand and i can paint nails amazingly. i just cant do my own eyes:(

any ideas as to what i could do??

Some people have nack for certain things! You just need to get your friend who is good at It to do It for you or go to a department store that has a make-up section where they can give you tips and show you the basics!Help with eyeshadow application?
do neutral tones.

light: closest to nose and in upper corner near hair line

dark: near lash line
Try doing it on others first untill you master it. You will get it soon.
Try to rest your elbow on a table. If you have a sort of armoire/makeup counter, this is perfect. Then, hold the brush (remember to put the eyeshadow on it!! :D) and do horizontal lines. Remember to re-dip every time you finish a line. Try not to press too hard or too lightly, make sure you keep it the same way.

Hope I helped!
Check out coastalscents.com - they have AWESOME makeup at a really decent price. As far as applcation and technique, go to the mall or a department store and have them do a ';makeover'; on youl Stores like Sephora and Ulta are really great for this, and they are totally free!
Try small and build it up.. Do only liner or only liner and mascara and a nautral color light tan or something, then the next week have a little darker tan and a little darker, then as the time goes by it would get a lot easier. then you will be a pro. :) you can do funky stuff. blendng orange to red, or like, Light green in the center and dark green on the oposite side... its cool, just build up to it. nobody is born a pro.
its really simple...

for me- i just close my eyes and brush ( with a small brush) close to the lash line... then i look to see it, and move up a little farther... since your not going for big and flashy i'd just add color to the crease of your lids.. but if you have a really light color you can add it a little farther up so you can see it better- very flatering *light purple(very) dense green and sky blue.

i have blue eyes, so green ( one thats still light but not thin) gets me lots of comments- hope ths helps some, the more you practice it gets easier.... Eyeliner's wat gets me. lol
