Eyeshadow application?

I will be wearing a purple/black/silver shirt tomorrow. i purchased some purple and grey/silverish eyeshaow in hopes of trying to match it up. Can someone tell me which do I apply first the darker color at the base and the lighter on the upper part of the eyelid, vice versa??? i'm a little lost. thanks!!!Eyeshadow application?
First of all I don't mean to discourage U but U never match ur eyeshadow with ur outfit. Since You already bought the colors use the lighter one first. U can use the gray on the crease then like how u would use a line, line ur upper and lower with the purple and then use mascara. it's cheak and trendy. sorry if I'm harshEyeshadow application?
It's a good idea to apply the lighter shade to the whole eyelid (upper and lower). Then apply the darker shade to the lower lid. Then use a eyeshadow brush an blend the edge of the darker shade into the lighter shade. Play around a little with the eyeshadow's before you actually wear them. Try different techniques with the darker shade, eg: just a line with the applicator on the lower lid just above the lashes, or on the whole of the lower lid. You can extend the darker colour out at the corners as well. But i definitely would suggest trying different applications to find out what looks best.
yes, you wold do a thin layer of the black at the bottome of your eyelid. your lid and the courners of your eyes would be the purple and around the brow and over everything else blend in the silver.
lighter color below eyebrow, darker color closer to eyelashes. hope this makes sense and is of some help.
Follow the advice from the Mary Kay Senior Consultant. (I'm one, too).
- put the silver all over your lid right up to your brow and out towards the outer edge of the eye

- then take the purple and put it on the lid and along the crease of your eye so that you can see it when your eyes are open just alittle bit and make sure you blend

- then put the black only on the outer corner of the lid, and blend again.
There are several options depending on your face shape and eye shape. Check out

This will guide you based on your eye shape and set. Just copy and paste it in yout address box.
lol, those are our school colors! =]

this is what you're supposed to do

-put a lighter smoother color on the lid first and then add more color to it with darker eyeshadow of the same color

-then get a med. color and put it on your lid crease

-then get the lightest color and put it from the crease to eyerows

-and then get a draker color and put it on the corners or your eyes

hope that helped! =]
