I need help with applying eyeshadow?

Everytime i put on eyeshadow, it gets into my eyes and they turn bright red and looks like i have pink eye, i close my eyes and everything but i dont know why this keeps happening, Ive recently started wearing eyeshadow over my regular pencil eyeliner to soften the color. Have any tips or know why this keeps happening? Much appreciated.I need help with applying eyeshadow?
Sounds like an allergy of some sort! try to get makeup that says ';non hypogenic'; and try having somebody put your makeup on for you just to see if it makes a difference... like with your eyes closed the whole time!!!

I'm really sorry! That would be really depressing for me! however, my skin is retarded and gets allergic to almost EVERYTHING!!!I need help with applying eyeshadow?
You're probably putting on too much eyeshadow, which causes fall-outs. Try tapping the eyeshadow only once or twice then putting it on. If you need more, you can always add on. Add your eyeliner last and use a smudge brush to soften the look. That might help.
It could be that your eyes are sensitive to the product. Try applying the eyeshadow with a damp brush instead of dry, this will help it stick to your eyelid and not fall into your eyes. Also be really careful when you are at the edge of your eyelid, take your time. If you use makeup brushes and not the sponge that comes with the product try a smaller, flat brush instead of a big fluffy one. Use a patting motion instead of brushing or swiping to make sure the eyeshadow stays put. A good brush to use is the MAC 239 or something similar --%26gt; http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_LLkE26Jok7s/R1鈥?/a> I know they sell a similar brush for much less at craft stores, its the Loew Cornell Maxines Mop, I think its 1/4 inch, just look in the paintbrush section you will find it. Yes, craft brushes are safe to use for makeup, they tend to be not quite as soft as makeup brushes but are essentially the same thing.

Don't blow on your brush to get rid of excess, this allows bacteria from your mouth (yes there is bacteria in your mouth, even if you've just used Listerine) to get on your makeup brush and possibly get in your eye. Instead, tap the handle of the brush (lightly) against the edge of a table or against your arm a few times to remove the extra eyeshadow.
blow on the brush before you apply to get rid of excess shadow that will fall into your eyes. also try wearing primer so the shadow sticks and wont flake off throughout the day. benifit makes good primer, sold at sephora and some shoppers drug mart
other than tapping your brush and stuff that has been said you could try using hypo allergenic products so that even if they get in your eye from time to time you won't have any irritations or smth
