Dark colors go from the inner corner of your eye into the middle crease. medium color at bottom of eyelid closer to lashes. and lightest color at top. Blending them with a flat blush brush by brushing over your lids once or twice in the same direction will give you a good balance. make sure the colors coordinate so you wont look like a drag queen.What is the right way or best way to apply eyeshadow?
the best way is for someone to show you hands-on what looks best on your face shape. i would go to your local MAC counter, since they seem to be the est with shadows, and their eye shadows rock! just ask for some help, they will be happy to show a begginer, and you can explore the hundreds of colors they have. its well worth it to find something that looks good! also, there are a lot of website out there that will show you how to do it too. google magic!
theres no right way or best way but i do have a few suggestions.
the smoky eye is always good for night time or dressing up.
i also like my eye shadow to start at the inside corner and get deeper towards the outer edge.
another method is to combine a few colors for example, i like green and blue, or gold and purple.
for a basic look, a color a bit darker than skin tone, swept evenly across the eye is a good every day look.
you just have to experiment to find what way suits you.
