use a Q-tip to apply black/deep blue/deep purple eyeshadow, then smudge it with black liquid or pencil eyeliner.
I have read an article about applying dark eyeshadow colors. After you finish puttin gon your foundation, you would need a small piece of napkin. You would need this napkin later on. The first thing that you should do in apply the base coat. Since you`re going with a dark color, then isuggest you apply white at the top of your brow bones and blend them evenly with a shadow brush from the middle of your eyes, to the far end of your brows. Then, you would add a dark color to your eyes. Now the napkin would come in handy. While applying the dark color, keep the napkin on your cheeks so when the particles of the shadows drop, it wouldn`t ruin the foundation that you had put on earlier. Apply the dark color ONLY on your eye lid. Then choose a color a little lighter than the color you had just used and apply between the white and the color you had used for your eyes lid. Blend it evenly with a shadow brush. Don`t worry about the colors touching each other. Now the color should look from dark to light starting at the base of your eyes. Now apply another coat of white on the previous spot that you had apply the white earlier to give it the shine look. Now you apply the eye liners. After that, blend out the eye liner to give it the smoky look. I hope this information helps. :)

Hollywood look? From the looks of it, you need a paint gun and industrial sized buckets of makeup.
It's all about ';smoky eyes';.

FIRST- Prep the lid. You dont want the eyeshadow to melt into your eyelid creases so make sure your eyelids are oil-free. To do this start with an eyeshadow base.

2- Apply eyeliner. If you're going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye, apply liner in one of those colors above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye.

3- Blend in color on bottom lashes For color on the bottom (a key smokey eye look) you'll want a lighter eyeliner %26amp; the key is to 'smudge it'. You can also apply a bit of shadow to get full smudge effect.

4- Apply light base color The key to a smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with the darker hue. I prefer a nice cream shade for my base. Sweep a light, shimmery shadow over the lids to your browbone.

5- Now that you have the base %26amp; eyeliner on, it's time to get the smoky effect. You need a darker eyeshadow shade. Using an eyeshadow brush blend in color starting at your lash line %26amp; blending up. Make sure to blend color into the lash line so the eye liner disappears. Stop deep color at crease.

6- Finish with some volumizing mascara
do a really light grey in the inner corner, then a middle shade of grey in the middle, then black in the corner, then blend it. should look smokey
Have a look at this site, it's very informative.
