Applying the eyeshadow under the eye?

The new Bourjois mini pallets for eyes have this but it's not new: a thin line of your eyeshadow under your eye. I've tried a multitude of brushes and wet/dry but I can't get it right. Coloured eyeliner is too harsh for some of the effects, specially the ones that use a slightly thicker line. I love those looks you see in magazines where the whole eye is made up, I'd love to try one for going out but regardless of the product it just looks wrong.Applying the eyeshadow under the eye?
its definately all in the brush and the technique and blending. you need a brush that will deposit the colour where you want it and another that will blend and soften the colour. don't use eyeshadow wet under the eye, it'll make the colour too strong but choose soft eyeshadow colours and blend well. If you wear foundation, you can erase anything that is too thick or any mistakeswith a qtip dipped in a little foundation. Makeup is fun, don't get so caught up with trying to look like someone in a photograph, use the pictures to inspire you to create your own signature style :)Applying the eyeshadow under the eye?
OMG i know! i love alicia key's eyemakeup, they always put liner on the bottom, but when i do it i think my eyes look scary and really overdone. =T

i suggest starting lightly.. perhaps try liquid liner on top, and pencil on bottom? also i noticed that a lot of models use a White eyeliner inside the rim, and then a darker pencil/shadow underneath the white! it's almost like faking more white to your eyeball.... weird. i have a white pencil but it's cheap so it doesn't look that good.

good luck! i'm gonna keep practicing...
You need to go to Boots and look at the Ruby %26amp; Millie range - they do a great brush for this purpose - the bristles are the end are cut like a square shape and are blunt cut - costs 拢5 - it really does the job.
Get a make-up expert at Boots or Selfridges show you how to apply it

I love it too. It looks really pretty.
Don't do it. It always looks really awful on women 'in real life'. Makes you look like a drag queen.
I think you have to get a make up artist of tv or a magazine to look anything like they do in the mags. Ive tried it and I always end up looking like a panda. Maybe we mere mortals are doomed to looking plain, it seperates us from the supermodels and stars... poor us!

I would recommend getting a stiffer brush, there is a perfect one in Mary Kay's Brush set that is exclusively for that purpose, its called an eyeliner brush. start off by using their colored eyeshadows which can be wetted to give you more control.
Hi, I am a make up artist for 3 years.

Don't sweat it trying to get the thin line under your eyes. the best way is to use your favourite form of lining and go ahead and line under your eyes. then take a cotton swab with a very good make up remover and clean the excess leaving only the right amount for your eyes. then touch up the concealer. This is what I do on myself and my clients and it works great.
