How to apply eyeshadow the right way?

I usually just apply one color eyeshadow on my lids because I don't know how you apply more than one color. Can someone tell me how to add more colors to my eyes when applying eyeshadow.How to apply eyeshadow the right way?
This time of the year its good to just wear a natural color, like a brownish tone.


Select a light shadow and apply onto entire eye are from lash line to brow bone. Then apply a medium tone on the eyelid up into the crease(that starts from eyelash line to the part of your eyelid that bends). When you apply your shadows, you pat them on then sweep slightly to blend it out. To add other colours, you just repeat the same thing, but with another colour. Pat it on, blend it into the other colour, that's basically it.
