Right now, I only use a matte eyeshadow. I apply it on my inner eyes, where the tearducts are, on my upper eyelid, a little on my lower lids, and I also use a white highler under my eyebrows.





Should I stick with matte eyeshadow or should I buy a shimmery white eyeshadow? I use the white eyeshadow because it apparently opens up your eyes more.Should I use a shimmery white eyeshadow, or a matte one? (Picture of me inside)?
i think your eye Shadow in that pic looks cool, but I'm sure you could rock the white shimmery.

I don't perticularly where eye make-up because a woman is beautiful without it. Anyway either will cause infection if you wear it too much.

The white stuff makes your already prominent upper eyelids more prominent. I'd go with a pale beige under my brows and slightly darker just below it. This way you're contouring your upper lid. You can use a coloured liner of your choice, on your upper and lower lids. Beautiful smile, by the way.

I haven't used it, but I think it's matte. Their glimmers and glimpses have shimmer. If you want shimmer, you might want to try the glimpse in City Lights or the glimmer in Queen Phyllis. I'm thinking about getting the Coastal Scents 88 palettes in shimmer and the matte one.


I was just wondering if you would recommend it?

To put it simply I don't know what I'd do without mine. It's the best $20.00 I've ever spent in my life! I recommend! The colors are amazing, they last forever, and there's so many things you can do with all of those colors! Hahaha I actually find it to be better than MAC, and that's something I thought I'd never say.Do you recommend the Coastal Scents 88 eyeshadow shimmer and matte palette?
I have them both, and they are really good quality.





I would also recommend the 88 warm palette too, it has amazing colors!





There is a bit of fallout, but that is normal with most eyeshadows.





I would recommend them!
Mattes are a lot easier and a lot more versatile to work with.


Don't get me wrong, shimmers are GORGEOUS, but they don't work with everything.


I definitely recommend getting both - Mixing and matching is soo much fun.

i think you should try the shimmery eyeshadow once, it looks great...... but use it very lightly because if overdone it looks spooky...... and mac has a very nice one but i think you should buy a cheaper one for testing first........

go shimmery. I love that look, it makes you look angelic. It does open up your eyes, don't put it all over your eyes just at the top and bottom and corners furthest from your nose.
I freakin hate eyeshadow. it looks so cakey. anyways you are very pretty and well whatever you like. i dont know what to tell u on this.

ok i got this eye shadow that is called canyon classics(color). its really cool but i dont know what to put on my lid and all that junk. it is kind of like a smokey eye. there is a really light brown...dark brown.....light black/grayish.....and a reallly light kinda nude color. use the nude color on your browbone (under your eyebrows) then use the light brown on your lid. use the dark brown in the crease of your eye. and use the black as an eyeliner.

It totally depends on what occassion it is for. If I'm going out at night I like more of a high sheen frost type color. For day I like low sheen or matte.Do you guys like high shimmery, matte, or low shimmer eyeshadow? ?
it depends on my mood and what look i'm going for.


usually my everyday eyeshadow is matte or has only a little shimmer.


but if i'm going out or going to an event i change it up and do high shimmer, but in moderation so it doesn't look over the top.
low shimmer is best. guys do NOT like it when girls overdo the makeup. i have heard guys talk bad about girls because they wear too much makeup, so dont go with high shimmer. low shimmer is flattering, but not obvious, so it is a good choice.
Low shimmer, it brightens your eyes just enough without making you look like a glittery pre-teen.
I prefer low shimmer. It doesnt look too over the top but it bring attention to ur eyes

i like the matte one. it has WAY better pigmentation than the shimmer. if you want a shimmery look just dust some eye glitter over the matte shadows for special occasions. plus the matte palette costs less
i have the shimmer one, just got it a week ago and i love it =] its not TOO shimmery, i think matte looks boring.
You can never go wrong with matte,and if you want some shimmer you can put on a base/primer that already has shimmers to it (Like urban decay primer potion in Sin).
I bought the matte coz there are some satin ones, and some colours to have a bit of shimmer to them including the browns.


Beacuse are you really gonna wear shimmer everyday.

I have both matte and shimmer palettes. I use more of the matte palette only because I'm a business student and I don't need to have dramatic eyeshadows when I'm in school. The shimmer is best during night because it gives you that sparkle. If you don't want something too shimmery then go for the matte palette.
The shimmer one is like having colored foil on your eyes. Hard to wear it in the daytime. I like the matte palette. Not all colors are matte. They have satin ones too! :D
i bought the matte one thinking the shimmer one would be too much, but i think i would have rather preferred the shimmer palette
Matte. Trust me. I'm a shimmer girl too, i love glitters on my eyes, (not on the face) but i had to go with matte. i have both, but i use the matte more often.





I mean, glitter everyday? I don't think so. It does look very nice but, i just don't think its suitable for everyday wear, especially during the daytime where its all flashy here and there. i mean, its great for night, when youre going somewhere special. but at night, if im just going out (like on a date) ill use shimmer, but if its a movie, ill just go with whatever floats my boat. usually matte though, depending on the color combo. (I.E. - Red + Pink? NO SHIMMER!!)





sometimes, sure you'll just feel like using glitter. which i feel too, once in a while. i mean certainly not everyday.





Also, the matte palette is a little different in color, and some colors are nice and satiny and stuff.


And because i do other people's makeup, i like to use the palette highlights, since i never use them on myself.


and like i would never use glittery highlights, unless i really needed to.





So i mean, it's your choice but i would still say matte.


I would only use all shimmer sometimes..





but then again, the shimmers arent SUPER SUPER SUPER glittery like a lot of brands.


I bought the shimmer first, but got the matte also since the colors ARE somewhat different.





but if youre gunna use it often, get matte.


shimmers rock, like twice a week (if not overdone), but matte is what you need for everyday. like for school or work? shimmers just dont cut it.
