I am 11 years old, and blonde with green eyes, I am trying makeup for the first time for a change. I was wondering what color shadow, and most of all, how do you apply it on your eyelids right? Oooh, and what kind of mascara? I thought blondes were supposed to wear like a brown kind.....and one mre thing, what do you do when applying mascara? Sorry for all those questions! LOL I will be thankful for helpful tips, pictures, videos, etc.!How do you apply eyeshadow?
Sweep a touch of shadow over your lids to accent eyes. You can define them, add drama, and make them stand out in a few quick steps.
Application on Entire Lid
Steps:
1. Prime the eyelids by dusting them with a small amount of loose powder.
2. Select a light base shadow. Using a shadow brush, sweep it across your entire lid, from brow to lash line.
3. Use a medium-toned shade to cover your lower lids.
4. Contour the crease of your eyelid with a dark shade, using a smaller eye shadow brush. This color can also work as an eyeliner (see the next section for instructions).
5. Blend shadow by stroking the lid gently with an eye shadow brush. Don't use your finger'you could wipe off the shadow entirely.
6. Use a cosmetic puff and a little pressed powder to tone down heavy shadow. Shake any excess powder off the puff, then press it gently on your lid.
Eye Shadow to Line the Eyes
Steps:
1. Choose a medium or dark shadow color to line your eyes.
2. Use a small, flat, angled brush for the application.
3. Stroke the brush over the eye shadow.
4. Start at the inside edge of your upper lid. Angle the brush so that the longest tip follows the shorter end as the brush moves across your lash line. Bring the brush to the outer corner of the eye.
5. Create a more dramatic line by wetting the brush before stroking it through the shadow. Mist a small amount of water onto the brush, or dab it into a few drops of water and proceed with the line. The shadow may feel wet as you draw your line, but it will dry quickly.
Overall Warnings:
Don't share eye makeup or tools'you can unknowingly transfer eye infections such as pinkeye (conjunctivitis).
If you get shadow in your eyes, flush them gently with tepid water.
Tips:
Apply a moisturizer on your eyelids first. It will make the eye shadow easier to absorb, making the color more visible!!How do you apply eyeshadow?
eyeshadow: pink blue
ok just put it on ur eyelid's and dontput it on the uper part of ur eye's . or elsu will look wird
and that's all
pik me as ur best answer
i am 11 lool
plez pik me
umm..ok, well for eyeshadow I would go for a brownish/tan or a lime green, it will bring out the color in ur eyes. To apply it, start w/ ur base color over the whole eye and most important, get a darker color in the crease, and then right below ur eyebrow put a lighter color, like a lighter tan or a white, maybe you can even get away w/ a light blue. umm..for mascara I would go for a black/brown cuz I'm blonde too and that's what I use. When I apply mascara I keep my eye open but since ur just starting I would close my eye a little and just keep it open a crack, and then apply directly to ur lashes! k, well good luck and I hope all of my tips will help u!

Hi! My older sister told me that blondes should wear brownish-blackish mascara. She gave me her Clinique stuff and its really nice. don't use too much because it looks scary : ) and take the brushy part and kind of ';pet'; your eye lashes with it. Good luck!
sure looks like that on ur avatar....
Oh that is easy! since you have green eyes you need more of a shadow do a thin line of black or very dark brown, do a little bit bigger(just a tad) forest green then a light light mint green up to your eyebrows try t out it is pretty

What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow? ?
I'm 16 and scared to experiment with eyeshadow! I know it sounds crazy... but I don't want to go overboard and end up with a really dramatic look. What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow? ?
Experiment on a day when you're not going out.
But start lightly, from the base of your lids to the lower brow bone, lightening in shade/color as you go.What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow? ?
start of with a light color for example light brown, nude, white (if your going for a natural look) or light grey, grey glitter, white (if you want do do smokey) and apply it from underneath the inside of your eye, all the way to the top and out, stopping a little over/angled to where your eye ends on the other side. Then take a medium color shade for example brown, purple, dark grey and apply it only on your eyelid. Then take a darker color for example dark brown, dark purple, black and apply it to the crease of your eye.
hope this helps =)
since ur 16 and scared to experiment then go natural or sometimes u can go bold if u use the right shade. it depends on ur skin tone. for natural go with a goldish color. they always say to start at the brow bone, but i only put it on the lid. it is better and doesnt look like ur wear tons of make up
%26lt;3
the correct way to apply eye shawdow is to take some of the sticky eyes shawdow color lightly and you want to put on with your finger then just dap on and then you can put powderd eye shawdow
use a light eyeshadow color and apply with a mini or large eye shadow brush. if you apply more than one color, blend with a blending brush
for eyeshadow make shure it matches ur eyes.
Just search Youtube for natural make up and I'm sure you'll find something you'll like (:

i get stuck when it comes to doing the corners. it never comes out right. What is the best way to apply eyeshadow?
For me, the best way to do it is with your fingers.
You can check on youtube.com they have a lot of videos on how to do makeup. Just go on there and do a search for ';how to do makeup'; and a lot will pop up and they are so fun to watch.. I could watch them all day. What is the best way to apply eyeshadow?
it's hard to explain here, because it depends on the shape of your eyes. but the basic is to dot on some color at the outer corner of ur eyes then blend them in.
easiest way is with your fingers.. but if you must use a brush.. use a thick course cutting brush and edge them in the corner and blend them inward. (fingers is best though)
My wife uses her fingers and it looks GREAT!brown hair

What is the best way to apply eyeshadow?
There is a dance coming up at my school and i want my eyeshadow to look good. I have hazel eyes if it helps!!!What is the best way to apply eyeshadow?
This video on how to apply it may help. Have a great time! What is the best way to apply eyeshadow?
First of all, do not use the applicators that come with the eyeshadows. Buy an eyeshadow brush. Maybelline makes eyeshadow quads that have a lid color (apply all over lid), a brow bone highlighter which, you guessed it, you blend onto your brow bone, a contour shade which you blend into your crease, and a darker shade you can use as a powder liner if you want. In that case, you can use the pointy applicator that comes with the eyeshadow. For hazel eyes, which I have, I always go for greens and purples if I want a dramatic look, but all colors look good.
Smear a small amount of vaseline or eyeshadow primer over your lid. Rub your sponge into the eyeshadow you want (purple is nice for hazel eyes) and gently dab it on, so it sticks to the vaseline/whatever
OR
Rub a soft brush/sponge into the eyeshadow, then slowly spread it across, like your painting
Always remember to rub it onto the eyeshadow, don't like, dig it in (Y)
Using your finger is a good way to have control over where you want to put it. It always depends on the color and or multi colors and how dark. You just need a good straight make up brush thats not to big and just apply it from corner of the eye and out. Remember to blend, use a little at first and then get darker, not dark then light, because that doesnt work. Or if you dont want to cover the whole eye, a q-tip works well if you just want to have a line of eyeshadow. Make sure what ever you use, flick the brush or q-tip to get the extra powder off, so it doesnt fall in your eye or on your cheek. Have fun at the dance! ps. a little mascara goes a long way.
I usually use my pinky finger. Those little sponge-stick things they give you are useless. I also like to use an eye shadow brush to apply to my crease. You should go to Walmart and get one of the shadow combos that tells you which colors to apply where. Almay has one especially for hazel eyes. It's three different shades of grey - I love it (I'm hazel too)! Apply the lightest color all the way from your lid to your brow (a color that just about blends with your skin tone), the next darkest to your lid, the next darkest to your crease. I like to add a touch of the lightest color the the inner corner of my eyes. If the inner part of your lid is a little lighter than the rest of the lid it makes your eyes look bigger and set farther apart. But the key is blending.
oh cool, you should use a q-tip. use one side of it, damp with water and apply. then the other side should stay dry and you can put on a second coat with that side. it will make the color stick and look more dramatic, like how the color appears in the case. you can use it around your eyes with precision. also, to make ';smokey'; eyes you can use an angled brush or those covergirl perfectblend eye liner pencils. the consistency of the pencil is rich and the spongey tip on the other end is the most perfect tool for blending. have fun! :)
If you go to http://www.youravon.com/drodcay and then click ';shop by brochure';, and click on the blue Avon brochure, find pages 6-7 or 50-51, they show pictures on how to apply eyeshadow. Lots of great colors to choose from and the Heavenly Soft Eyeshadow Trios are an awesome price!
Hope this helps.
try using natural semi-shiny tones: browns, tans, and cream colors. or if your feeling brave, try purple but not an obnoxious shade. try using a bristle-type brush. start with a base color, a light cream shade for example. apply from lashes to eyebrow. use your darkest color in the crease of your eye, but don't get it too wide. then use another lighter color to apply from the crease to your brows.

I put foundation on underneath as a base to stop the eyeshadow melting or sliding off.
then use a light colour such as cream for the secondary base. Then i use a brown and put the brown in the crease and along the lashline (:
well, to apply eye shadow u gotta use brown first of all. apply the lightest color of brown (a tan color) right under ur eyebrow. then, apply the second darkest color to the lid of ur eye (a regular brown, sorta light but not too much). last, apply the darkest brown to the crevis in between ur lid and the part under ur brow (only do this if around 20 and if ur younger, try it and see if it looks good). last, u can apply the medium brown eye shadow to the side of ur eye.
Hope this advice helps!! ~ xoxo ; p
ps
use ur finger!!!! or use one of those spongey feeling brush ends!!
i have light brow/hazel eyes and purple, and green really make my eyes pop.
use a lighter color for a base nad apply it all the way up to brow bone. then the next color aply over lid then thet darkest color in the crease. use black eyeliner and finish with some waterproof mascara!
HAVE FUN!
hi everyone always admires the way i put my eyeshadow on and i also have hazel eyes. i think a dark greeny colours looks good. first put a creamy colour on your eye lids and then in the outer corners the colour you want and blend the cream into the green. hope i helped =D GOOD LUCK
I believe the best way is to use clean brushes.

i find the best way is to use a brush as opposed to the little sponge most eye shadows come with, like this girl's eyes are a very good example of what you should do http://digitalfuntown.squarespace.com/dft-blog/2008/5/2/dft-news-episode-2.html
The way I do it is cuz my lids tend to get oily sometimes..so I put some loose powder on them and then put on the colour a bit, and then on top of that put on a little bit more powder so it stays on..never liquid eye shadow either obviously, cuz it smudges right off.
There's a cool site that let's you try on different colors and styles of makeup on your own photo. It's taaz.com. You can also try on different hairstyles and colors. Good luck!
i put concealer first.. to hold the shadow.... then i put the lightest color first.... at the crease do a line w/ the darker shade.. and then blend it with the medium shade... gosh did that make any sense? LOL...
Smokey eyes always works..%26amp; it doesn't have to be black! You can do it with the variety of colors that go with whatever you wear! =]

Applying eyeshadow?
i no how to put my eyeshadow on top but the lastest fashion is wearing it underneath. I tryed to do it but it was to big - i only want a line to make it look nice! Please help meApplying eyeshadow?
For under my bottom lashes I use a cotton wool bud and work from the outside in, either running the bud smoothly across or patting on in dots and then blending in. I suggest a practise when you've got the time to perfect the technique - enjoy!Applying eyeshadow?
use a liner brush
get a good quality fine brush and you will be able to control it.
Use 3 colors of eye shadow. You can use more but it is not going to make any big improvement.
Dark: This is applied only to the eyelids from the lash line to the crease in the eyelid.
Medium: This is applied from just below the eyelid crease to the brow bone. You can, and some techniques do, shade the entire lid with this medium shade first.
Highlight: This is the lightest of the three and is applied to the brow bone and extends a little past the outer end of the eyebrow. This usually gives a pearly finish.

invest in a good angled eyeshadow brush
I had the same problem, and I solved it by using a very fine (thin) applicator brush. I went to sallys beuty store, and for about $6 i bought a package that had all types! They realy make it go on easier!
*GoodLUCK*
I find it best if I wet the end of a cotton bud (not so that it's dripping with water) and use that to apply the eyeshaddow. I also use eyeliner pencils in sparkly colours Sephora and Barry M have some good colours.
get a good quality fine brush
use the applicator that comes with the eyeshadow, but turn it so that the side of the applicator is against your skin. start with the shades you are most comfortable with and then you will not feel like it is too much when you use more daring or darker colors.
there are also liquid eyeshadows that have small applicators that make it easier to apply
use a small brush, and dampen it with a little bit of water first before applying the eyeshadow
apply it with the narrow side of the eye shadow brush or applicator, and use a Cotton swab to take the extra shadow away and make the line as thin as you wish.
Use a cotton bud, it always works for me! and if its too big get another cotton bud wet it and simply remove it:-)
try using a thin tipped make-up ';brush'; that is what i use.
Use the tip of a eyeshadow brush,
Get a thin brush, even an eyeliner brush and dampen it, then draw on a line.
Wearing eyeshadow underneath your eyes is one of those things that looks far better in magazines than in real life since it tends to flake and smear and look messy. I would suggest a gel or cream eyeliner, MAC and Clinique make great ones and they're actually very easy to apply.
you will have to find a very thin eyeshadow brush and apply in very slowly and carefully like eyeliner and then smudge it a little ,pull the skin taut while applying .good luck
Lancome do a really good brush that is slightly angled so it is really good for getting a fine eyeshadow line under your bottom lashes - plus it is really good for working eyeshadow into your eyelid crease.

Applying eyeshadow?
I'm pretty good at applying my makeup but one thing i've always been stuck on in applying eyeshadows. Does anyone know how to apply them and what type brushes to use for eyeshadow because i'm going to buy some brushes tommorrow from the body shop or something like that? Tuterals would be appreciated :D Thank you so much xApplying eyeshadow?
this girl on youtube is brilliant! just click on the link below and look through her vids...she uses mac products alot and she names all the mac brushes you need!
Hope this helps! :)

The key to picture perfect makeup that flows is your brushes. Several brushes are important. Stay away from sponges if you wish to achieve a soft finish. Always moisturize your face and eye area daily with products based on your skin type and concerns.(1) large fluffy shadow brush, Apply a base color eyeshadow first over bottom lid (2) Thin flat brush, Apply highlighter directly under your brow line to open the eye area and create a clean brow (3) Contouring Brush, Apply matte color in the crease of your eye outer corner to create depth and a contrast.Use large shadow brush (brush 1) to softly blend in crease color.
I use small, soft, narrow (preferably natural bristle) brushes. I usually buy brushes from an art store cause they tend to be cheaper than makeup ones and you can almost always feel them to see how soft they are before you buy them.
the darker colors go on the bottom and the lighter on the top but make sure you blend the colors with a blush brush and don't leave a line of the two colors

What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow?
ok, first what color of skin are you? Are you looking for a natural look or a ';going out / party'; look? well you pick out...i'll say 3 colors, one really light then a medium to the first color and a dark color.
1st* LIGHT COLOR
2nd* DARK COLOR
3rd* MEDIUM COLOR
Then close your eye and apply the 1st color on to your entire eye lid (even under your eyebrow).
After that youll put your 2nd color on your eyelid but only where it creases!
And then, you see where your eyelash's are? well youll put a strip of your 3rd color above where your eyelash line ends.
WELL GOOD LUCK!! =)What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow?
First make sure you have eyeshadow. There isn't really a correct way to apply eyeshadow so just do whatever you feel like. What is the correct way to apply eyeshadow?

if you want more info and i can help you with the shape you have and some great application tips
there are many ways depending on what effect your looking for. you can go simple and just put on the colour you want on your lower lid and your done. or you can be more creative and use 3 to four different colours positioned in different spots of the eye. and blend of course. its hard to explain without an eye graph for me to show you. but i will try. so your lower lid you have to ends and a center with me so far. so take one colour you like lets say a darker colour for starters you can put that on the edge of the eye i mean towards the end of the eye and then in the pupil area where your eye would be if its open you add another colour something lighter perhaps.. and in the corners of the eyelid you add what ever colour you want something sheer is always nice. in the middle of the eye now you add another colour and you can sweep this up and away or keep it within the area itself. the top is done in another colour and you can do the inner top one colour and use another colour for the outter perimiter.
You really have to try different colours and blending some go well together others look terrible. so pretend your an artist and your creating a nice eye look. hope that helps
you shut your eye and apply it to lid but also the new look is not to just apply it to the lid, you also apply it to the skin under your eyebrow, it will look cute, trust me on this one
first you wan t to start with a white base. put it from the tip of your eyeball to the eyelash. them aplly your color all over the eyelid to allite below the brow. if you have a trio, do the same only star with the lightes color.
close your eyes wide and apply it above the eye and you can also try to open your eyes and apply it to the top
i use my finger.
